- Graham earns Player of the Week honors -


New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the Winter weekly report #1 on Monday, November 20th, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics for men's and women's basketball.

Men's Basketball Update (1-0, 0-0 Skyline)

The men's basketball team opened the 2017-18 season with an 88-84 non-conference victory over Drew University.

Junior guard Matthew Graham (Valley Stream, N.Y.) was named Skyline Conference Player of the Week. He scored a career-high 28 points on 9-of-19 shooting, including 6-for-10 from 3-point range and added a team-high five assists in FSC's only game of the week.

This week Farmingdale State will play two games: Tuesday at St. Joseph's-Brooklyn @ 7:00 p.m. and Saturday vs. New Jersey City @ 2:00 p.m.

Women's Basketball Update (1-2, 0-0 Skyline)

The Rams were 1-2 in three games with their victory coming on Sunday against Lyndon State (73-67) in the Amherst Tip-Off Consolation Game.

Senior forward Essence Casey (Huntington Station, N.Y.) was tabbed to the Player of the Week Honor Roll. Casey led the team in scoring (17.0 ppg), rebounding (7.0 rpg), 3-point field goal percentage (.462), free-throw percentage (.786) and blocks (3). She scored a team-high 20 points and added four steals in the season opening loss at Montclair State. At the Amherst Tip-Off, Casey scored 16 points and had nine rebounds versus Springfield and recorded 15 points, eight rebounds and four steals against Lyndon State.

FSC will play a pair of games this week: Tuesday at Brooklyn College @ 5:00 p.m. and Wednesday at Division I Stony Brook University @ noon.
