New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the Winter weekly report #10 on Monday, January 30th, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics for men's and women's basketball.
Men's Basketball Update (14-5, 10-0 Skyline) - Full Report
The Rams stretched their winning streak to 10 games with victories over Yeshiva (69-60), Purchase (101-88) and Merchant Marine (82-62) last week.
Junior guard Liam Monaghan (Rockaway Beach, N.Y.) was named to the Honor Roll after shooting 52% from the field, 46% from 3-point range and 88% from the free-throw line, while averaging a team-high 15.0 points per game.
This week FSC will play two home Skyline games: Tuesday vs. Maritime @ 6:00 p.m. and Saturday vs. Mount Saint Vincent @ noon.
Women's Basketball Update (10-7, 8-3 Skyline) - Full Report
Farmingdale State won both games last week with victories over St. Joseph's-LI (70-28) and Yeshiva (77-45).
The women's basketball team will play three conference games this week: Tuesday vs. Merchant Marine @ 8:00 p.m., Thursday at Old Westbury @ 7:00 p.m. and Saturday at St. Joseph's-Brooklyn @ 4:00 p.m.
Indoor Track & Field Update
The indoor track & field teams had the week off and will return to action on Friday, February 3rd when they compete in the 2017 Armory Track Invitational at the New Balance Track & Field Center.
