Rams Set to Face Stony Brook in Exhibition Game

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's basketball team will head to Division I Stony Brook University for an exhibition game tonight tipping off at 7:00 p.m.

In 2015-16, the Rams posted a 14-13 record (14-6 Skyline) and earned the #3 seed for the playoffs where they fell to St. Joseph's-Brooklyn, 78-75, in the First Round.

The Seawolves were 26-7 last season and won the America East Tournament with an 80-74 victory over Vermont. Stony Brook earned a 13-seed for the NCAA Tournament and lost to fourth-seeded Kentucky in the First Round.

FSC returns seven players from last years team including Skyline Conference Rookie of the Year George Riefenstahl (Bayport, N.Y.), Second Team All-Conference selection Trey Kinard (Deer Park, N.Y.) and senior captain Weldon Irvine (Queens, N.Y.). Joining the Rams this season are sophomore guards Ali Mableton (Brentwood, N.Y.), who played one year at Dowling College and Ryan Kennedy (Maspeth, N.Y.) who played at Pace University in 2015-16.

Farmingdale State's roster also features six freshmen and Eriq Williams (Valley Stream, N.Y.), who played in 2014-15 for the Rams.

The FSC men's basketball team will open the regular season against Rowan at the Widener Tip-Off Tournament on Friday, November 18th at 6:00 p.m.
