The Rams placed second at last weekend's Trinity (Conn.) Holiday Invitational, winning their opening contest Friday night against Endicott by double figures, before narrowly falling in Saturday's championship contest to the host Bantams.

Senior Nick Hurowitz (Mt. Sinai, N.Y.) was named the Skyline's Player of the Week after garnering all-tournament team kudos at Trinity. He averaging 14.5 ppg and 7.5 rpg for FSC on the weekend, including a 24-point, nine-rebound showing (10-of-15 FG, 3-of-4 3FG) against the hosts on Saturday. Freshman point guard Michael Notias (Manhasset, N.Y.) was cited on the weekly honor roll after registering a 7.5 points-per-game average in 28 minutes played over the two outings.

Skyline play resumes for head coach Brendan Twomey's side this week, as it travels to St. Joseph's-Brooklyn Wednesday at 7 p.m., before playing host to Old Westbury on Saturday at noon.

Women's Basketball (3-9, 2-5 Skyline) | Skyline Report

Farmingdale State dropped a non-conference home game Friday versus Hunter, before suffering a loss Tuesday night at defending Skyline champion Mount Saint Mary.

For her efforts against Hunter, freshman guard Victoria Kantzian (Staten Island, N.Y.) collected her second Rookie of the Week accolade of the season (Nov. 29). She led the Rams on the afternoon with 14 points on 6-of-13 shooting, while pulling down a career-high five rebounds in her first collegiate start against the Hawks.

Head coach Mark Dellecave's FSC squad is back in Skyline action Saturday, when it travels to St. Joseph's-Brooklyn for a 1 p.m. tip.
