FSC Athletics Fall Update #9

New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released its ninth fall weekly report on Monday, November 1st, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics. 

Women's Soccer Update (13-7, 10-0 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

The women's soccer team played host to Mount Saint Vincent in their only game last week and won, 2-0.

Sophomore Celina Schenk (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) was named the Skyline Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career. Schenk scored her second goal of the season in the 2-0 victory versus the Dolphins, while helping FSC to their eighth shutout.

The Rams finished the regular season a perfect 10-0 in the Skyline Conference and enter the playoffs as the #1 seed. The Rams earned a First Round bye and will host #5 Mount Saint Vincent for the Semifinals on Wednesday, November 3rd at 4:00 p.m.

 

Women's Volleyball Update (15-9, 10-1 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

Farmingdale State closed their regular season schedule with a pair of conference sweeps over Yeshiva and Maritime.

Freshman middle blocker Kalena Ricketts (Cambria Heights, N.Y.) earned a spot on the Player of the Week honor roll after registering 13 kills and a .625 hitting percentage in the 2-0 week. 

FSC went 10-1 in conference play this season and enter the Skyline Conference Women's Volleyball Championship as the #3 seed. They will play host to #6 Sarah Lawrence for the First Round on Tuesday, November 2nd at 7:00 p.m.

 

Men's Soccer Update (10-5-2, 8-2-1 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

The men's soccer team defeated Maritime, 2-0, last week, before falling to Yeshiva in the First Round of the Playoffs.

Senior forward Carlos Rivera (Huntington, N.Y.) was named to the Player of the Week honor roll after contributing on all four FSC goals. He tallied a pair of assists in the win over Maritime and recorded a goal and an assist versus Yeshiva.
