- Four Rams claim major weekly awards -


New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released its third fall weekly report on Monday, September 20th, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics.

Women's Soccer Update (4-2, 2-0 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

The Rams picked up a pair of home Skyline Conference wins last week over Maritime (4-0) and St. Joseph's-LI (8-1). Coach Roche earned his 200th career victory in the win over the Golden Eagles.

Junior forward Julissa Martinez (Brentwood, N.Y.) was named Skyline Conference Offensive Player of the Week. She tallied a team-leading seven points in a 2-0 week for FSC. Martinez recorded two goals and one assist against Maritime and followed with a goal versus St. Joseph's-LI.

Freshman forward Jazzmin Terrell (West Babylon, N.Y.) received Skyline Rookie of the Week honors. She recorded her first career hat trick in the 8-1 home win over St. Joseph's-LI. Terrell scored three goals on five shots in the victory.

This week the women's soccer team will play three home games: Tuesday vs. Montclair State @ 4:00 p.m., Saturday vs. Arcadia @ 2:00 p.m. and Sunday vs. #9 Trinity (TX) @ 11:00 a.m.

 

Men's Golf Update - Skyline Full Report

Farmingdale State posted a team total of 309 and earned a six-stroke victory over the host school at the Manhattanville Skyline Invitational held at The Links at Union Vale.

Freshmen Chris Iguchi (Centereach, N.Y.) and Mackenzie Kim (East Quogue, N.Y.) were named Skyline Conference Co-Players of the Week. They tied for medalist honors after shooting two-over par rounds of 74.

The Rams have the week off and next will head to the Powelton Club in Newburgh, N.Y. for the Mount Saint Mary Skyline Invitational on Friday, October 1st.

 

Men's Soccer Update (2-3, 0-0 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

The men's soccer team was 1-1 in a pair of non-conference games with a 2-0 win over Brooklyn College and a 3-2 OT loss to FDU-Florham.

Senior midfielder Carlos Rivera (Huntington, N.Y.) claimed a spot on the Honor Roll after recording a team-high five points on the week. In the win over Brooklyn, he assisted both of the Rams' goals and followed with a goal (penalty kick) and an assist against FDU-Florham.

This week FSC will play two road conference games: Wednesday at Sarah Lawrence @ 7:00 p.m. and Saturday at St. Joseph's-LI @ 3:00 p.m.

 

Women's Volleyball Update (3-7, 0-0 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

The women's volleyball team was 1-2 on the week with a home win over Baruch (3-2) and losses to Montclair State (3-1) and New Paltz (3-0).

Farmingdale State is slated to play three matches this week: Thursday vs. Merchant Marine @ 7:00 p.m. and two matches on Saturday at Misericordia (Keystone @ 2:00 p.m. & Misericordia @ 4:00 p.m.)

  

Women's Tennis Update (2-3, 0-0 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

FSC posted one win in three matches with a 6-3 victory at Plattsburgh on Sunday.

This week the Rams will host Purchase in their first Skyline Conference match of the season on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.

 

Cross Country Update - Men's Full Report  - Women's Full Report

The cross country teams had the week off and return to action on Sunday, September 26th for the Mount Saint Mary College Knight Invitational.
