Farmingdale, N.Y. - Farmingdale State freshman Ryan Reed (East Northport, N.Y.), who was competing in his first collegiate tournament, posted a 1-over par 71 and earned a three stroke victory at the FSC Skyline Invitational. The Rams shot a 305 today and finished in second place, three strokes behind St. Joseph's at the Bethpage State Park - Red Course.
Reed shot 37 on the front nine and drained a 20 foot birdie putt on 18 for his round of 71. Senior Scott Sessions (Pleasantville, N.Y.) finished in a tie for second after shooting 74, while senior Chris Brosi (Stony Brook, N.Y.) carded a 79.
Farmingdale State next will head to Dauphin Highlands Golf Course in Harrisburg, Penn. for the Penn State Harrisburg Invitational on Sunday, September 20th and Monday, October 21st. The Rams begin play on Sunday at 12:15 p.m.
