Farmingdale State wins Skidmore Fall Invitational
- Adam Larkin earns individual medalist honors -
Saratoga Springs, N.Y. - The Farmingdale
State men’s golf team posted a final round 298 to capture the
Skidmore College Fall Invitational. The Rams finished with a
two-day total of 600, finishing five strokes ahead of runner-up
Elms College.
After shooting a 73 yesterday, freshman Adam Larkin started
the final round one stroke behind Skidmore’s Anthony Dilisio.
Larkin shot an even par 72 this afternoon for a two-day total of
145. Larkin and Henry Fall of Elms College each finished at
one-over par for the Championship and went to playoff holes. Both
players pared the first playoff hole and Larkin was victorious
after Fall three putted the par 3 second hole and recorded a
bogey.
Farmingdale State junior Chris Arnold finished tied for third
place individually with a two-day total of 146. Arnold posted a
tournament low 71 in the final round. Junior Joe Arnold finished in
15th place with rounds of 78 and 77.
Larkin and Arnold were each named to the All-Tournament
team.
The Rams next will play at the St. Joseph’s College
Invitational on Friday, September 17th at Spring Lake Golf
Club.
